-
Any eligible players can attend the trials; you do not have to be invited to attend.
-
-
All players wishing to participate in trials must be a registered 2008 player with a Football Brisbane club.
-
Football Brisbane will manage the player selection process with integrity and transparency to ensure the best outcome for all involved.
-
A player will trial and play according to the age group in 2009, eg a player who turns 13 in 2009 will participate in the Under 13 age group.
-
The Rebel Sport Junior Premier League will commence on Sunday 8th March and conclude on Sunday 6th September. It is a 20 round competition played on a Sunday.
-
Due to the structure of the RSJPL draw and the BJL draw it is envisaged that a player may miss a maximum of 6 club games only due to RSJPL commitments.
-
The other zones in our group are South West Queensland, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Northern NSW. Games may be in Gatton, Toowoomba, Gold Coast, Maroochydore and Lismore.
-
There will be two Brisbane teams in each age group and these teams will be selected on merit. Brisbane North and Brisbane South regional boundaries no longer exist.
-
The RSJPL is the pathway for selection in the State representative teams.
-
The Girls RSJPL teams will use Carmichael Park as their training venue, the Boys teams will also use centralised training venues that will be confirmed soon.
-
Players participating in the Girls' RSJPL will be ineligible to play for a club in the Brisbane competition.
-
Players participating in the Boys' RSJPL will be ineligible to play for their club in the Brisbane competition on the same weekend as an RSJPL fixture.
-
A weekend, for the purposes of the RSJPL program, is defined as the period from Friday night to Monday night, inclusive.
- Shadow players will train and play with the club team in which they are registered.
-
Shadow players will be contacted by Football Brisbane if required to play in the RSJPL competition on any given weekend.
-
Coaching staff have now been appointed by the selection panel and are published on the Football Brisbane website.
-
Travel arrangements for players will be the responsibility of parents/guardians. Football Brisbane may consider other options for longer journeys.
-
Every effort will be made to keep the participation levy to a minimum. The pricing structure will be available for parents/guardians in early February 2009.
-
Football Brisbane will work with financially disadvantaged families, on a case by case basis, to ensure that the best players are selected.
