Breaking news - David Parra wins FBI Gold Medal!

Souths’ Premier League captain and central midfielder, Dave Parra, was last night presented with the Football Brisbane Gold Medal as Premier League Player of the Season.  This prestigious award is voted on by referees throughout the season, with points allocated on a 3-2-1 basis for each match. Dave’s consistency and commitment saw him poll strongly right through the year, beating Steve Unsworth of Strikers, Royce Brownlie of Peninsula Power, and Willy Tumusiime of Rochedale.  Dave was also named in the Brisbane Select team of the season. Other winners of the Gold Medal over it’s 34 year history include Souths’ 2008 Premier League coaches Steve Glockner and Michael Rooney.

Congratulations Dave - we're proud to have you in green and white!
