Preliminary Gradings - U12 |

Below are the PRELIMINARY gradings for the Under 12 teams. Please note that team composition remains fluid until late April. Movement between teams, both up and down divisions, may happen up to the beginning of May (Fixture 1). The Club will continue to monitor the progress of all players during the grading games. FINAL gradings will be announced at the end of April (approx).
The following is an excerpt from the Junior policy 2008:
Failure to Attend Grading Assessment
Players who are unable to attend their allotted grading sessions must contact the JCC prior to the session. The JCC may use his discretion when placing a player who has not been graded into a team; however it is likely that players who fail to attend grading will be disadvantaged. These players will be assigned to a division at the discretion of the JCC.
Appointment to a Team
After consultation between assessment staff, the preliminary gradings will be at the discretion of the JCC. Players will NOT be informed individually of which team they have been graded into. Preliminary gradings will be listed and displayed on the Clubhouse verandah’s exterior windows. Notification of team coaches and managers (where known) and their phone numbers will also be advised. Training nights, times and locations along with maps of the fields indicating the position will also be available.
Preliminary gradings are not final gradings. Movement of players up and down divisions can occur up until the completion of the four Football Brisbane grading games but before the first fixture.
Where an age group has multiple numbers of teams, the lowest division team(s), will have larger number(s) of players since it is administratively significantly easier to bring a player up a division than apply to regrade them down a division.
Please note that a composite Under 12/Under 13 team has been formed in line with the following excerpt from the Junior Policy 2008: The Club aims to provide football for all interested people. In the event that sign-on numbers in any age group exceed the numbers required to fill teams in that age group eg 13 – 14 players for Under 11 to Under 16 age groups, the Club will make all endeavours to accommodate all players. This may necessitate:
Asking players to seek other players from amongst their friends Making a composite team in a higher age group (if numbers allow) Any other methods open to the Club.
